About the Artist — Erick Dubón
Erick has always had a hard time describing himself as an artist. He enjoys finding materials that have different properties and uses them to create. The Artsperity project started as a way to introduce children that were interested in art to the world of science, and those that had a scientific mind to find the art in it. As a volunteer in a public school in Panama, his science classes began with 7 boys, and by the end 6 girls had also joined. Erick believes that children are now studying to solve problems that don't exist yet, that's why imagination and curiosity are crucial for their learning process.
Being introduced to different materials and a new way of seeing this is Erick's way to contribute to their learning.

About the Art
This collection was created using ferrofluid — an oily liquid containing iron particles that possesses magnetic properties. When a neodymium magnet is used, the ferrofluid allows magnetic fields to be visualized to some extent, as it changes shape depending on its distance from the magnet. The colors and application techniques give rise to the various collections and evoke distinct emotions.
About Custom Artwork
Artsperity later evolved as a concept: translating people into art. Every individual has their own personality and enjoys being reflected in art, but going further having something made with them in mind. The creative process, the imagination, all with that specific person as a pillar makes for art pieces that the artist couldn't have created on his own.
Some of his works are also dedicated to people that are no longer here, giving them a place in this world after they are gone. Artsperity is a way of life, a way of seeing the world and bringing it to the material world.
